Feedback from clients has pin-pointed TRUST or diminished level of it, is their main frustration. This is across employees, customers and suppliers. Honesty is not the virtue that it once used to be. Business owners get let down by employees telling them one thing and doing something else, promising the world at interviews, and turning out lazy. Their customers promise orders of higher value to receive discounted pricing, only to place tiny orders, or just go with a competitive price elsewhere without giving them the chance to discuss this. Their suppliers tell them about unrealistic delivery deadlines being met just to get the order, only to be told that the delivery can’t be met at a very late stage of the process.
My advice to the business community – LET’S GET HONEST WITH EACH OTHER, even if it hurts.
